Opening Times
We operate Monday to Friday during term time, offering a flexible range of sessions:
- Morning Session: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
- Afternoon Session: 12:45 pm – 3:45 pm
- Full Day: 9:00 am – 3:45 pm
Fees & Charges
- Session Fee: £21.00 per session
- Registration Fee: £20.00 (non-refundable)
- Lunchtime Fee: £7.00
Fees are payable in advance. Charges apply even if your child is absent.
Term Dates & Closures
- We are open 38 weeks a year (Term Time Only)
- We are closed on public holidays, bank holidays, and school holidays
Funding
We offer the following funded childcare options:
- 15 Hours EEE Funding for all 3- and 4-year-olds
- 15 Hours ELE Funding for eligible 2-year-olds (terms and conditions apply)
- 30 Hours Free Childcare for eligible working families (terms and conditions apply)
Our Services
At Beavers Lodge Playgroup, we are committed to providing high-quality early education and care for children under statutory school age. Our key services include:
- Support for children in nappies, including toilet training assistance
- Inclusive care for children with additional needs
- A highly qualified, caring, and professional staff team
- Supervised access only: volunteers and students are never left alone with children unless fully DBS-checked
- Adherence to strict safeguarding policies and procedures
- Appropriate staff-to-child ratios for quality care and supervision
- Protective clothing provided for messy or weather-appropriate activities
- Encouragement of independence and self-care skills in children
- Engaging, stimulating, and age-appropriate activities in a safe environment
- Strong partnerships with parents to support each child’s learning and development
- A commitment to equality, diversity, and community engagement
- Daily supervised tooth brushing sessions promoting good oral health
- Workshops for parents to support and enrich children’s early learning experiences
Additional Enrichment Activities
To further enhance children’s development beyond the EYFS framework, we offer the following optional enrichment sessions (charged annually):
- Forest School: £20 per year
- Physical Literacy: £20 per year
- Road Safety Awareness: £20 per year
These sessions take place during the setting’s operational hours. Parents wishing to enrol their child must pay in advance.
Parent Partnership & Expectations
We highly value our partnership with parents and expect the following to ensure smooth day-to-day operations:
- Please provide nappies if your child requires them
- Provide healthy snacks and fruits to support our shared snack time
- Ensure children wear comfortable and manageable clothing
- No open-toe shoes or jewellery for safety reasons
- Punctual drop-off and pick-up is essential.
Late Pick-Up Policy:
Late collection fees apply as follows:
- £5 for every 5 minutes late
- £10 for every 10 minutes late
